What is your Refund Policy?

Refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis. In situations where the file does not perform as advertised or described, refunds will be granted.

 

Can a seller also make purchases?

Yes. Sellers can perform all of the functions of buyers plus more. However, a buyer will be asked for additional infromation before they can sell from the site.

 

What happens to a seller who infringes on the copyrights of others?

Their accounts will be disabled and they will face any legal consequences as pursued by the offended party. 

 

How do I protect my original copyrightable spreadsheets?

Visit the Creative Commons web page and follow the instructions provided. Thier website is http://creativecommons.org/about/licenses/meet-the-licenses. Include the standard copyright message in the description field in the spreadsheet upload page.

 

What do I do if another seller infringes on my copyright?

Notify Excelville.com immediately using the Contact Us form. We will remove the work in questions and conduct an investigation to determine the rightful owner. More details are provided in our Copyright Policy.

 

How do sellers get paid for their sales?

Sellers will be paid via PayPal once per month.

 

What percentage of revenue do sellers earn on sales?

Sellers earn a significantly high 70% sales revenue per download.

 

What does it cost to sell on Excelville.com?

There is no cost for selling spreadsheets on the site. 

How do I become a seller?

Simply create an account, upload your spreadsheets, and start earning!

 

What type of files can I upload and how large can they be?

The site accepts many filetypes of Microsoft Office Excel, Apple iWork Numbers, IBM Lotus 1-2-3, Open Office Calc and more! View the Acceptable Filetypes page to get a detialed list of acceptable file extensions.

 

Does Excelville.com review submissions?

We do not review all submissions. We believe the customer is your ultimate judge and will determine how your work with perform in the marketplace. We use a system of ratings and comments to help identify the quality of spreadsheet for anyone considering purchasing. However, if you spreadsheet is flagged by multiple users or cited for copyright infringement, we will review the submission and assess.

 

Can I post multiple files on one listing?

Yes. On the file upload page, click the "add file" button to upload as my files as uou would like. This is designed for you to post the same spreadsheet in different versions such as Excel 2003, Excel 2007, and Excel 2010.

 

Will PayPal or anybody else be taking a cut as well?

Paypal does get a cut but it comes out of the 30% that we charge per sell (you keep the entire 70% of the sales price)

 

What kind of PayPal account should I get and why?

All you'll need is a basic free paypal account to receive payments unless you plan to do other things with your account. For Excelville, you don't need anything fancy. Any Paypal account will work fine.

 

Can my account with Excelville.com end up in the negative?

The site is set up so that its impossible for your account to go negative. The minimum spreadsheet price is set at $1.50 to avoid having you or the site go negative on spreadsheet sales.

 

Do I need a business license or name?

You don't need a licence or business name. You can use your real name or an alias, whatever you prefer.

 

Do you or PayPal generate tax statements?


We don't generate tax statements and I'm not completely sure if Paypal does or not. The site does keep track of your earnings for you and keeps them posted in your dashboard so you can claim your earnings as income when you file for your personal income taxes.
